On Wednesday 23rd January some of our more able students went to the Apollo Victoria Theatre to see a production of 'Wicked The Musical'. We travelled by train from Bomley South to London Victoria - the fast train is amazing! Some students ordered most on the menu at the nearby McDonalds, and a few other students quickly acquainted themselves with other students from different schools. It's nice to see our students being so friendly and respectful of members of the public. One student was very helpful with an elderly lady who was trying to get a newspaper.
The students enjoyed the performance by the cast. There were lots of positive comments about the set design and sound production. When the Wizard of Oz spoke, we all felt moved by the incredible bass from the speakers. The lady playing Elphaba was immense. She carried such great energy and her voice had a wide range. The students really enjoyed seeing such charismatic live performance!
2 hours and 45 mins later the curtain had fallen and we were on our way back to Bromley South Station. The smiles on the students faces was great to see. We look forward to taking more of them to see other performances in The West End!
