The Maths department took the students on their annual curriculum trip with the Year 9s  to ‘Prison Island’, in Maidstone. There they were split up into small groups of 4 and worked together to solve clues and to complete the obstacles before their time ran out. They had 25 rooms to explore and escape within a 2-minute time limit, and worked very well together encouraging each other to solve the clues and escape the rooms.

The students enjoyed the day and commented that is has helped to improve their relationships with their peers. One of the reasons for the trip was to aid them with problem solving skills that will help in their Functional skills Exams.
