Staff and students at BBAB supported Dyslexia Awareness week this year by taking part in two activities. On Monday 1st October, we all wore an item of green to support the ‘#GOGREENFORDYSLEXIA!’ campaign organised by The Dyslexia Association.
Following that, the whole school put down their pens to take part in ‘No Pens’ Wednesday to support the Communication Trust. The idea of the day was to learn by alternative methods that did not require writing thus developing the children’s speaking & listening skills.
Students enjoyed a variety of activities including drama, music, quizzes and interactive activities; even the staff training was completed without pens!
The most dedicated year nine and ten students won prizes and certificates for their efforts on the day.
