Bromley Beacon Academy became a mixed gender Key Stage 2 to 5 provision in September 2016. With this growth has come the introduction of our brand new Bromley site, where Key Stage 4 and 5 students are now located. At this site, which has been purpose built to focus on vocational subject areas, our young people are able to specialise in subject areas that can provide them with a platform to further/higher education and/or employment when leaving us.
We are proud of Bromley Beacon Academy and how it has grown. Our students and staff work hard together to create a safe and happy learning environment through mutual respect and resilience that supports our students to grow into purposeful young adults so they are able to contribute to society in a positive way by offering the following:
- Specialist staff who are highly committed and have extremely high expectations of every student to ensure that our young people achieve their potential
- A strong and effective partnership with parents to provide the necessary support for every student as we believe the education of our young people is a shared responsibility.
The website provides an insight into the day to day life of our Academy, providing information such as key policies and our unique curriculum as well as the behavioural expectations we have set to ensure all students are able to achieve to their full potential.
We are on an exciting learning journey and believe that with the support of all stakeholders, we are able to achieve our absolute best for all our young people and Academy.
Alex Leng - Head of School
As the Executive Head Teacher of London South-East Academies Trust, I am very proud of our students and young people who attend them; who we teach, guide and support so that they develop the knowledge, skills, emotional and social maturity to make thoughtful decisions and become purposeful young adults.
We are able to deliver this through a broad and balanced curriculum delivered by dedicated specialist teachers and support staff who provide an educational experience that enriches the lives of our young people.
By focusing on academic, social and emotional well being, we improve our students' life chances and provide the necessary guidance and support to allow them to follow appropriate pathways into further education and/or employment so they become good, moral citizens.
