As part of our SMSC and British Values, we focused on World War One and the Battle of the Somme in particular for our Remembrance Day commemorations this year. A school assembly followed by work in tutor time and in English lessons, allowed the students to focus on the suffering endured by the soldiers and the sheer loss of life. In Flanders Field was the main poem focused on and students created work from this piece.

Bromley Educational Trust held its first ever Awards evening celebrating the success and accomplishments of students across the Trust and what an evening it was!

Our students celebrated amongst friends, family, staff, Trustees and special guests including; Councillor Fortune and singer/ songwriter Maurice Nwokeji.

Resilience, academic progress, literacy, numeracy and sports were just some of the achievements that were reconised. What a proud moment for Bromley Educational Trust.

One of our students attended the Local Intervention Fire Education Programme very recently and demonstrated all the values and characters that we come to expect from our young people. He attended the intensive 4 day course at Erith Fire Station and learned about casualty rescue techniques and using breathing apparatus amongst many other skills. He was that successful throughout the week, he was voted Student of the Week and won the Jack Petchey Award.
